I’ve been part of the ever-growing Murray Lifts team since 2007, my working career has always been within the lift industry having started in installation and continued through modernisation, repair and maintenance.
My interests in mechanical and electrical engineering made the pull of the lift industry unavoidable as it enabled me to cover all elements and broaden my knowledge across all fields which enabled me to achieve the NVQ level 3/4.
Throughout my career, I’ve always strived to enhance my knowledge and progress resulting in my journey being directed towards management ; within this sector I have covered maintenance, repairs, projects and currently Operations Manager.
The journey has been a challenge but I’ve come to understand that this journey is made up not only of the work being carried out but the team around you, the right support network is vital for career progression and job satisfaction.
Out side of work my family are everything to me and we spend all our time together but due to my slight obsession with engineering and adrenaline my daughters and I spend time working on and riding quadbikes, mainly work on but still good fun.
I enjoy exercise in general but my main sport is kickboxing which I have been doing for a number of years and gradually making my way up the gradings with an aim to achieve a black belt {still some way to go}.
